The hybrid version of the clean C-MAX is designed to provide better fuel economy than the Fusion Hybrid and moves to a more all-electric speed that the Fusion Hybrid is 47 mph. It will also be the first of two new Ford hybrids that use the technology of lithium-ion battery.
Ford added that it was designed "to produce more general to the driving range than any other plug-in or extended range electric car." Energy C-MAX plug-in hybrid has a 240-volt charging system allows, according to Ford's full load faster than the Chevy Volt.
